Looking for Arlington, VA songwriters and musicians

I am an amateur song writer. Mostly I write music, but can create some lyrics. Looking to meet with, play with and collaborate with other local songwriters. I'd particularly like to find some talented people who can help me musically script my music so I can submit it for copyright. Once I copyright some of my tunes, I'd like to refine them further, with improved lyrics. I would love to find people who know about musical notation, musical scripting, computer know-how and software to assist in writing and producing music, using mp3 players, putting mp3s together, web mastering and putting music on the Internet. Also just looking for people to write music with, to collaborate, play and perform together.

My main instrument is my Yamaha electronic keyboard, but can play guitar and bass.

My musical heroes include Brian Wilson (brains behind Beach Boys), Moody Blues, Enya, ABBA, and various melodic music. Techno music I can dig also, if it isn't too fast, crazy or furious. Even though I am a Baby Boomer, I would be interested in interacting with younger people and newer musical ideas. The best thing to do is combine the best of traditional standards and the modern.
