Informal call for exhibition at Artisphere

The Works in Progress gallery features artwork in the stage of creation.  I am looking to program an exhbition in this space for January 19-March 4, 2012.  My first preference is to find a curator to propose an exhibit by artists with disabilities, to which I would give first consideration.  However, I am also asking the arts community in general: do you have an idea for this space?  Can you install and de-install this exhbit, leaving the gallery in the condition in which you found it, and can…See More

Profile Information

What is your interest in the Creative Arlington beta community?
As an arts program manager with Cultural Affairs I work on creating opportunities for artists in this community. Creative Arlington provides a critical networking support system among artists, arts professionals and arts enthusiasts.
How do you or would like to use your imagination and original ideas to enrich the economy and culture in Arlington, and beyond?
I will be moving my offices from Shirlington to the new Cultural Center and working on programming and administration in this new and unique facility. Working with artists and arts supporters through Creative Arlington will strengthen the creative community bond and suspport the success of this center.

Also as a member of an artists' co-op at Ballston Common Mall, a business that is struggling in this current economy, I am interested in networking with this community to connect with an organization that may be able to support and promote this struggling group of local artists.
