I'd like to think that inspiration wells up from within, but for me, that often doesn't always happen. Increasingly, I turn to the web, which has vastly expanded the material available for jump-starting creativity. Hoping that these may be a value to others, here are some of the general idea-generation portals that I've bookmarked over time:
http://www.creax.net/ - A broad array of links to sources of inspiration and entertainment.
http://blog.creativethink.com/- A website by the author of A Whack on the Side of the Head.
http://www.creativityforlife.com/ - Some interesting tools and articles.
http://www.innovationtools.com/ - Solid website purporting to focus on helping "busy executives" be more creative at work.
http://www.creativitypool.com/ - Interesting concept, essentially an exploration of the potentially innovative and sometimes cockamamy.
http://www.uroulette.com/- Only for those with too much time on their hands. It sends you to a random site on the web. It's like closing your eyes and falling backward, but with a keyboard.
I will provide additional sites as time permits. What are your favorites?
